UPSL Congratulates Milwaukee Bavarian SC on USASA National Amateur Cup Win

Bavarian SC Wins Historic Seventh National Amateur Cup at Home

August 6, 2018 – Los Angeles – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is proud to congratulate Milwaukee Bavarian Soccer Club upon its historic victory at the USASA National Amateur Cup.

The UPSL Midwest Conference Champions defeated Pomona (Calif)-based UPSL Championship Western Conference club San Nicolas FC in the national Semifinal on Friday, Aug. 3, before defeating West Chester United SC in the Championship Final on Saturday, Aug. 4 in front of an estimated 2,000 spectators at Heartland Value Fund Stadium.

United Premier Soccer League Commissioner Yan Skwara said, "Congratulations to Tom Zaiss, Pat Hodgins and everyone over at Milwaukee Bavarian SC for this historic achievement! You are great representatives of the United Premier Soccer League and we couldn't be more excited about your performance in earning your record seventh National Amateur Cup championship! You've done something momentous and given all Pro Development soccer clubs in America something to aspire towards. Best of luck as we look ahead to the UPSL 2018 Spring National Finals in Colorado!"

Bavarian Soccer Soccer Club was first formed by German immigrants in 1929 as Fussball Club Bayer, a multi-sport association. He club had previously won six national championships.

The United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA) National Amateur Cup is an annual tournament dating back to 1923.

The UPSL was formed in 2011 and currently includes more than 200 teams in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin. UPSL is the fastest growing Pro Development League in the USA, with 300-plus teams targeted for 2018 Fall Season. Each UPSL team is individually owned and operated, and is responsible for maintaining either UPSL Pro Premier Division or Championship Division minimum standards.

UPSL teams are all eligible to participate in the U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Rounds through the leagues affiliation with the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
